#ShopSmall #ShopLocal #SupportLocal
Back when hashtags were still called pound signs, those statements were still true. Those statements are something that matters to every local shop like Lilygrass —they keep our stores alive and thriving. This year has been challenging for all of us with the coronavirus pandemic, the October ice storm, and the internet outages that hit many shops as well. Many businesses have closed their doors for good after decades in operation. Others couldn’t quite get their feet off the ground to get started this year because of unexpected obstacles.
Local shops are an important part of the economy, not just for the tax dollars, but also for the relationships. It’s walking into a cute little store to buy locally sourced goods from makers and artists in the area. Talking to the clerk that remembers your name and that you were looking for something special for your best friend the last time you were in. An owner actually spending time in their own store and takes pride in the services and goods they offer. We are all connected and supporting one another and investing in our local community.
We are so thankful to you, our customers. THANK YOU! You have made it possible for us to weather the storms of this year and keep doing what we love each and every day. Delivering beautiful bouquets that brighten someone’s day, supporting local artisans by offering their products in our shop, and walking through both the happiest and saddest moments in life with all of you. We are honored every time you choose our shop for your floral and gifting needs.
If you still have names to check off of your gifting list, pop on by for a visit! We have lots of great gifts for people of all ages! Inspirational wall decor, a wide range of angels, coffee mugs, gifts for pet lovers, and so much more! While you can see a sample selection online, we frequently add new products to the shop that never make it to the website, so we encourage you to come by and check out the many treasures available in our gift shop.
This holiday season, more than ever, let’s all #ShopLocal
