Hello again, Lilygrass fans! We had the opportunity to attend another bridal show! You know we always have fun at these sorts of things, and this time was no exception! Keep reading for the fabulous details!
We started the morning off early at the shop. Lacey and Alicia gathered there before 7:00 AM! On a Sunday! (Crazy, right?!?!) But the ladies were already prepared, having worked hard the days leading up to the event. Lacey designed the white carnation dresses (with 250 carnations in each!). Alicia worked tirelessly on the baby’s breath balls (which included some hanging diamonds!), and Maggie crafted some extraordinary centerpieces featuring pink snap dragons, pink spray roses, while alstromeria, white standard roses, white ranunculus, white freesia, silver dollar eucalyptus, Italian ruscus, and honey suckle vine in silver plated pitcher and bowls. Lacey designed the bridal bouquet that matched the centerpieces and the stems were wrapped in a delicate gray satin ribbon! The bouquet was simply gorgeous, and the entire endeavor of preparation was truly a group effort.
After Lacey and Alicia met up, they vowed to come prepared to this show. They nourished their bodies with some healthy breakfast (mcdonalds -hee, hee), loaded up on snacks AKA junk food so they could keep their energy levels high all day, and then they were off!
Once they got there, they were more prepared for the unloading of the van this time around. Last bridal show it took those two yahoos TEN trips to unload everything! This time those master craftswomen unloaded everything in TWO! What a difference their great planning made, indeed!
They had a nice location near the front entrance. However, it seemed that more people were veering to walk around to the right rather than the left (which is the side where Lilygrass’s booth was on), as to mimic the flow of traffic, I’m sure. So we preferred our last location, but hey, those lucky brides got to see some bright and beautiful Lilygrass faces as soon as they walked through the doors. Who can beat that?
This time, we decided to go with a very fresh, delicate, springy color palette of whites, pinks, and garden greens. Our booth was breathtaking! The centerpiece collection was a terrific, antique silver, and it complemented the Lilygrass designs exceptionally well. I think we’ll all be seeing the antiquated wedding theme pick up during the spring wedding season, and if this show’s creations are any indication of how beautiful it could be, any bride would be thrilled to have Lilygrass do their floral designing!
The show itself was magical. It started at 11:00 AM and lasted until 5:00 PM! That’s six hours of gorgeous brides walking around trying to get the scoop on Lilygrass! The event boasted of both a wedding dress runway and a bridal bouquet runway. We were also able to watch a hilarious “cake dive” toward the end of the day. A few lucky brides got to “search” for prizes buried in wedding cakes, but there was one catch – they could only use their faces to do it! It was quite entertaining.
We had a great day! We held a drawing for $100 toward wedding flowers to brides who took a picture with one of our white carnation “wedding” dresses and tagged us on their social media accounts. We passed out a lot of fliers, business cards, and other Lilygrass marketing pieces. We even signed up quite a few ladies on the spot for wedding consultations! Ever since then, we’ve been answering the phones and our email, because more and more ladies are eagerly contacting us to set up their own consultations!
What a fantastic day it was for Lilygrass! It certainly is one for the books! We want to express our gratitude to everyone who helped make it a successful bridal show!
Thanks for staying loyal, fans! Have a great week!
